Compared with general parts processing, deep hole drilling mainly has the following four processing process characteristics:

(1) The surface of deep hole drilling parts is machined into a semi closed state. The operator cannot directly inspect the attachments of the tool. In addition, the chip removal space is small, the cutting heat is not easily diffused, and chip removal and cooling lubrication are difficult.

(2) The cutting distance is long, making it difficult to cut down and discharge trees. The blade load of the knife is uneven, and the cutting sag is high. A knife is easy to report, easy to press, and easy to break.

(3) The quality of deep hole drilling parts should be high, and the dimensional accuracy should be within the range of IT6-IT12; The surface roughness Ra is within the range of 25-0.2 # m; Shape and position accuracy, work hardening layer, residual stress, and surface physical and mechanical properties are all necessary.

(4) The rigidity of the process system is weak (especially the rigidity of the tool system is weak). The error reproduction is prominent, the processing ancestor is low, and it is prone to vibration and deformation. The machining accuracy and surface roughness of the hole are difficult to guarantee. Therefore, the guidance of cutting tools and the rigidity of the process system are very important.
